Providers get in strife with the ACCC if they misrepresent these averages. These speeds are represented in megabits per second and tend to be below the maximum potential download speed of a plan . The closer those self-reported download speeds are to the maximum speed potential of a plan, the higher our score for speed.

While the reliable speeds will make the premium price tag worth it for some, it's a shame Exetel hasn't done much in terms of perks or extras to help justify the cost. Exetel NBN Plans

There were no outages and exetel could not find a problem despite many phone calls. They wouldn't warranty the modem and send me a new one despite many requests. Constant outage, issue not resolved

My phone suddenly was down for no reason and it took weeks but they still cannot fix it. Just save yourself the pain and choose a well known reputable company. Tried to call to resolve and I was hung up on 4 times!!! They don’t speak proper English and just pause in silence and then hang up. I sent you a separate message to get your service details, so I can look in this matter further.

Very cheap, very fast and easy setup, great speeds with no downtime. Have been with Exetel for 15 years and found them to be a reliable service provider. Issue, had to reboot modem as does not automatically reconnect despite modem and Wifi itself not being interrupted. They pretend to be sympathetic but none of my issues were ever fairly resolved and no money was ever returned.

Exetel has an address checker on its website so you can check if you’re covered and what type of technology is due at your place. If your home isn’t serviced by the NBN, the address checker on the NBN website will indicate when you can expect your address to be serviced. Or so of perseverance once it started going it was relative fine and gave speeds similar to landline ADSL broadband. However, the modem gets very very hot and needs to be turned off regularly and this is where you may get serious issues of connectivity. It misbehaves initially but eventually gets online.

I rang the technical support recently to explain and seek help on the drop outs issue. It seemed to be a common issue as he immediately said he would send me a step-by-step instruction of fixing the drop out issue by adding a DOS command through Telnet Client. (a way of remotely connecting to a pc, in my situation... Having explored many possibilities as an interim measure while waiting for 5g to be rolled out in my area, this was a bargain deal when I signed up. 250 gig for under $50 with a modem included on a 12 month plan.

If you want 4G home internet on the Optus network, SpinTel is our current winner. You'll pay $44.95 per month for your first three months, and $54.95 per month thereafter. This comes with 20Mbps download speeds and unlimited data. I have had the home mobile broadband for just over two years. Recently the modem just stopped receiving signal. It was down for nearly two weeks and they weren't able to help me at all.
